How do I book a bar for a birthday party in NYC?

How is Revelry different from other party-booking sites?
Most party-booking sites list whatever venues pay to be on them — which is why they're full of places nobody's excited about. The genuinely hot, in-demand bars don't need to pay for exposure; they already have a line out the door. Revelry is the opposite: a hand-curated list of the venues New Yorkers actually want, chosen on merit. We make money from a small concierge fee when you book, not from venues paying to be listed, so our recommendations stay honest.
Is Revelry a real concierge, or just a listings site?
A real concierge. The whole point is to take the pain and hassle of finding the perfect party venue off your shoulders: you tell us the vibe, date, and headcount, and we handle the emailing, chasing, and negotiating with the venue. Our founder is based in New York and personally stays on top of bookings — emailing, calling, and even showing up at the venue in person if something needs sorting. That hands-on coordination is exactly what the concierge fee pays for.
How much does Revelry cost?
Browsing and requesting are completely free — you pay nothing until your booking is confirmed. When you book, a small concierge fee applies on top of the venue's pricing for handling the coordination end to end. You'll always see the full estimate before you commit.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Most venues require a refundable deposit to hold your date, which applies toward your final bill. Once we confirm your booking, we send a secure payment link for the deposit — you're never charged just for sending a request.
What size groups can Revelry book?
Revelry specializes in birthdays and celebrations for roughly 15–40 guests, though many venues can host smaller or much larger groups. You can filter by group size, and we'll only show spaces that fit your headcount.
How far in advance should I book a party venue?
For weekend nights and prime spots, 2–4 weeks ahead is ideal, and popular dates around holidays book out further. That said, we can often turn around last-minute requests — send one and we'll tell you what's available fast.
Which NYC neighborhoods does Revelry cover?
Revelry covers bars and lounges across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond — the Lower East Side, West Village, Williamsburg, Bushwick, Midtown, and more. You can filter by borough and neighborhood to find the right spot near you.
Can I request more than one venue at a time?
Yes. Add several venues to your inquiry basket and send them together, or include backup options with a request. We'll source availability for all of them so you can compare and choose.
What kinds of events can I book?
Birthdays, bachelorette and bachelor parties, work happy hours and holiday parties, graduations, engagements — any celebration that calls for a great bar or private room. Many venues offer private and semi-private spaces, open-bar packages, and food options.
Does Revelry list venues' real pricing?
Wherever a venue has shared it, you'll see real pricing — per-person packages, minimum spends, or no-minimum spaces — upfront. When pricing needs to be sourced, our concierge gets you a real quote from the venue, usually within 24 hours.
